my eotc week

 all of the year 8s got to do the eotc week instead of camp because of covid.First day (monday)we went on a big bike ride we are room 13 and we went with room 14. pip put out some challenges and obstacles for us to do to get used to biking we went to the gardens for a stop and then carried on through weston to enfield to stop and have lunch.Then we biked all the way back  and the feeling of being done was amazing but really sore and we made it back in time to go home at 3.05.

I was sadly sick on tuesday but i was all betere on wednesday a bigger early start 7.15 at school we went out to peel forest our class did high ropes first we got put in harnisers and we wear helmets and legend how to get up and down and help hold the rope,then we started.The feeling  you complete it and you are right at the top was incredible.My team got to do three different types of high rops and the last one was so fun my friend Olive made a land her sercel made from stikes and i got to try it out first and i made it.

Next we got on the bus  and went to a place to do orantering that is finding you way around with a map.are shoes got so wet because we crossed a bog and lots of cuts from the grass but it was a heap of fun my group tied first place which made it even better.the we meet up with room 14 and got back to school at 5.30 pm.

The next day thursday had to be my favriet.Got to school at the normal time and went to the hall were all the year 8s wear.on this day we got to tuse out of some activertes on what we want to do.i got papakaio pond and amazing race.First i went to papakaio pond i was so glad i wear i weet shut because I feel in .I got to try everything there were kayaks,paddle boards and sailing boats it was so fun. then we headed back to school to have lunch.After lunch we had the next activity the amazing race i had a great team we ran and solved cluse and rites the we jumped in the pool it was freezing but so much fun we did nit mind,then home again at 3.05.

On friday we all wore blues for diabetes day and the holl school was involved but are eotc week was not over.It was a crewsey day I went to art class and watched a movie in the middle block and in the afternoon we did p.e rotason in houses.then are week was over and back to school work.

It's finally the big day,I've been waiting for months to play in the big final netball game.Everyone is going to watch there are big rhinoceros in my stomach.Then mum stars yalling to hurry up and get in the car.Luckily i found my drink bottle and quigley make my way to the car but the rhinos got worse.it was filed with people, Thousand of eyes staring at me.We are all warmed up ready to go it was so silent then poof lots of purple smoke filled the room then the crowd erupted with laughter.

At 9.45 am in the waiting room ready for my apartment ,He called me in nervously i hopped

up on the chair and my head went back then it began.One by one putting on the little brackets

which are held by glue and dried by and blue light.Now the hard part the wire going from one end

to the other and bands to hold in place. There were lots of different colored bands but it chows

baby blue.Finally it was done and time to go home with my mother feeling funny and really

tight and sore.

1.i think i've achieved in my math and writing i think its improved and i'm very proud that i made a really good writing piece and i get how the math morks

4.one of my goals was to put 100 % in my writing and do the best i can and i'm going to continyou that for the rest of the year

5.im problem and i think we are going to christchurch and i'm going to see my grandad and my cosen and i excited for that because my courses have a puppie and he is so cute and resotley my grandad had to move from wimate where he's been for his whole life and now he's at christchurch and he's trying out homes wheres there is help for him and he doesn't have to go to a rest home and i want to know how it going for him and he wants to see us.

and i get to go see good family friends new puppy and i'm excited to see her they are getting her on friday and she is a purebred labrador and she is brown and her name is willow

I'm out in the jungle and I'm looking for the lost temple of Sin-Baba . Legends say if you go
in you wont get out and some say there's a huge pile of gold . So of course I set off on my
way to find it. I traveled over quicksand, swung on vines, sometimes accidentally snakes
and went through long thick grass  not knowing what's inside.”I made it” It was an amazing
big temple with monkeys on it. I had to go in  dodging all the booby-traps making my way
through and then I saw it.

I'm out in Antarctic looking to see what the wildlife does out here, I just saw penguins sliding and  a big beautiful orca in the distind trying to catch a seil. Then I looked back and there was a big polar bear standing with its front ports on the roof of my car. My cousin Sally was in the car and she was having a terner sandwich and the bear wanted it. Luckily she realized and quickly through it out the car it left. I jumped in the car and quickly left because she still had one half left.

It all started in Africa, it was a scorching hot day and the elephant and hippo wanted to get in the reflecting water holl but there was one problem: it was not big enuff for the both of them. So they had a speech competition how will win, fist the hippo said a long and convincing speech then the elephant delivered his speech it was not good most of the time he just mumbled to himself so obviously the hippo wines and the elephants had to go to another water holl they found one but so did the zebras.

I need to go fast, don't know where I'm going but don't look back. 

Well, that day I had to go and live with my aunt because I found out my parents died on their holiday.
I don't know my aunt but hopefully she will be nicer than my babysitter!

Well turns out she is horrible ! She just locked me in a room  but there was a window open so I escaped.

I found a cave that will be a good place to sleep but then I saw  eyes and footsteps coming
and that's when I knew I should run.

what we do at o.i.s

                                    what we do in a day at o.i.s
I go to O.I.S wich stands for Oamaru Intermediate School and im going  to tell you what we do in a day. So first the bell will ring at 8.55  we go to our classes and  do the roll and notices, then we do maths next we  go and have morning tea and that goes fo 15 to 20 minutes. Then we go and do reading for  45 minutes then move on to writing  and do that for 45 minutes and then its lunch for 1 hour but in that time for around 20 minutes we have to sit and eat ,after that we do lots of different things like p.e ,art and much more and at 3.05 we end school and we are off home

plastic in our ocean

PLASTIC IN OUR OCEAN

Did you know that approximately 8 million pieces of plastic get in the ocean everyday! That is a lot of pollution and can not be sustained in this amount. This is not very good for all of the marine life that eat, get tangled and suffocate in the plastic that we  are creating and not caring about where it ends up after its use. Most of these animals die when eating plastic as they starve with a tummy full of plastic that does not digest. New Zealand is isolated but not completely as we are seeing some of the plastic washed onto our shores or people dumping on the beaches for the incoming tide to wash it out to sea. Plastic has become a modern easy packaging used in so many things then we just throw it away but these practises that we have been using to make life easy and quick cannot continue for the health of our planet. In New Zealand the single use plastic bag has been stopped but we need so much more. We can stop purchasing things sold in single use plastics and choose reusable options. By not buying these we are saying that it is not what we want. We can also be mindful of where and how we dispose of the rubbish we do make to ensure it is not thrown carelessly to be taken into the environment and eventually make its way into our ocean always use bins and recycle but best of all don't buy plastic in the first place. This is such an important matter to me and should be  to everybody for the health of our marine life the health of our planet and life of all humans.

The first photo is the lovely town Oamaru it's a beautiful view. The second photo is my dog ben/benjamin  he is drinking you can see the ripple effect coming of his tongue and beautiful black. The third photo is of a bee on a flower working to get some pollen, then the fourth picture one day i went on a walk and saw these really big trees with small trunks and i thought that was pretty cool for a picture then for the lucky last one i saw a group of birds and ran to scare them  and they flew up and and it made a cool picture.

My profile picture looks like me because i usually wear my hair in a ponytail. It is the same color and its curly.

My eyes are hazel and in my profile pic they are pretty similar.

when i take a picture i always smile with my teeth showing so that's why i chose a smiley mouth.

My nose is little and pointy so i chose the nose that was close to mine.

My favorite colors are purple and blue so i made my t shirt and background those colors.
